Mezzotint mini print. A view from the Gun Garden in Rye, of the river Rother flowing towards the sea. The skies in England change often and rapidly. The same can be said about the water level in the rivers close to the sea.
I painted this view on a previous occasion, on a nice Summer morning with a clear sky. This little mezzotint is based on a photo I took after a storm, with the clouds receding and the sun rays breaking through.
