Went surching for the poetry on Red. Red Colour. Apparently, to broad a definion. THe results came too randome. However, some very interesting things:
Rabindranath Tagor.
“People often ask me about the meaning of my pictures. I remain silent even as my pictures are. It is for them to express and not to explain. http://www.poetseers.org/nobel_prize_for_literature/tagore/tagore_painter
Yesterday I was trying to finish reading “Can I change Your Mind” by Lindsay Camp. There he referred to some writer, who, when asked, why he wrote, answered “How would I know what I think otherwise?”
I find the same applies to drawing. Maybe that’s the reason I find it so difficult to make myself draw. Too much involvement of oneself is required. It’s a tough work. Yeaaah… I know now! It is all the same problem – being there and then. That’s what hard!
If it is a life drawing, than all is clear and easy – look and translate. It’s a mental exercise, and that’s what natural and easy for me. Once the deeper leyers of myself involved, like in what they called automated drawing, or just drawing, where you have to switch the whole of you on, it becomes an uphill struggle.
Another interesting finding: Def Poetry. I am trying to figure out what it is, and meanwhile watching it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLk_Q3Cq2Ns – Amazing! I love Internet! I love youtube!
Ah! Oh! This one, this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fndMa0HHvVU Love it, love it!
Oh, I found a new hero for myself!!! Here he is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPz9lL0y8sE I am gonna look for his book on amazon and put it into my wish list…
