Bare Necessities

Cheese and wine are merely bare necessities, right? I am more interested in painting them. Ultimately, it is about light and colour and their interplay, the delicate nuances caused by the transparency of glass, and the finest hues that occur on the edges of shadows. One can easily get lost in the details, delighting in the deliciousness of it all.
