Swiss Walks – 1

When visiting friends in Basel, I went on a walk with them a short drive away from the city. The path along the ridge of a hill located at the approach to the Alpes, the wide vistas over the Swiss Plaines opening up between the trees, the warm autumnal sun and the golden colours of October—all that instilled in me a feeling of optimism and excitement, as if a new wonderful chapter in life was about to begin.
