Portrait Sketching Session is one of my portrait commission offerings. I love it for the opportunity to draw live and the element of risk involved.
The concept is simple. We meet for 1.5-2 hours, and I sketch the sitter from life. Usually, I use pencils on A4-size paper and produce 5-15 sketches. The number depends on many things: the light, the mood, the environment, the relationship forming between the sitter and myself… Hence, risk and excitement are involved in working on portrait sketching commissions.
At the end of the session, you get a collection of quick drawings capturing the sitter’s essence.
