Simple Repast

The objects of still life, in this case, goat cheese and grapes, don’t matter much to me. Truth be told, I hardly ever eat cheese. They are only an excuse, some objects of shape and colour, texture and light-reflecting qualities, to put together and use as a reference for a painting. I come to the same objects again and again, because within the familiar forms, there is much exploration to be done painting-wise.
